Bún chả - Hanoi grilled pork

Bún chả is a legendary speciality of Hanoi. It consists of grilled pork patties and slices of pork belly charred over coals, served in a bowl of sweet-and-sour fish sauce.

The meat is accompanied by cold rice noodles, fresh herbs, lettuce, and pickled green papaya. All components are dipped into the sauce. Bún chả was made internationally famous by Barack Obama during his visit to Hanoi in 2016.
