Bulgogi - Korean marinated beef

Bulgogi means fire meat and is one of the most celebrated Korean dishes. Thin beef slices are marinated in a mixture of soy sauce, garlic, sesame oil and pear, which tenderises the meat.

It is traditionally served with rice, lettuce leaves and banchan side dishes. Bulgogi dates back to the Goguryeo dynasty era.
